How to Request an Absence In Oracle

Requesting and Submitting an Absence in Oracle

Absences can be entered for single or consecutive days as needed. Absences must be added from the Absence tile, not directly to the time card

  1. Log in to Oracle
  2. Click on the Me tab
    Click on Time and Absences on your home page

  3. Click on Add Absence tileUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  4. Select the Type of absence you are requesting
    Please note that this sample user has PTO. Employees with sick, vacation, banked sick, etc. will see those choices.​​​​​​​

  5. For this example, let’s choose Holiday Leave. Take note of the amount of hours you have available once you choose your TypeUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  6. Enter you Start Date and Duration. You can use the calendar button to select dates and times instead of typing it out if you chooseUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  7. Choose a Reason if applicableUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  8. Add a comment if needed

  9. Click Submit at the top of your screenUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  10. You’re done! The request will go to your supervisor for approval.
